Axial MR TSE T2-weighted scans (a–c) show the hydatid cyst (asterisk), with a soft hyperintensity of the surrounding hepatic parenchyma due to inflammation, the fistulous tract (arrowheads), and the abdominal-subcutaneous abscess (arrows) involving the right iliac muscle. Axial diffusion weighted image (-value 800 s/mm2) (d) demonstrates the high hyperintensity of both the abscess (arrows) and the fistula (arrowheads).
