The curves show the unstable periodic orbit 𝑂_ℒℛ⁴ (black lines), which collides with the chaotic attractor in two interior crisis bifurcations, and the unstable fixed point 𝑥^ℛ (gray line), which occupies the remaining gap. Note that the orbit is destroyed through border collisions at 𝑥=0. Its nonexistent or virtual parts are shown dashed. The location of this scenario in the (𝑏,𝜇)-plane is marked with 𝐴 in Figure 4(a).
