Emergence of Turing Patterns in a Simple Cellular Automata-Like Model via Exchange of Integer Values between Adjacent Cells

Tokens labeled with integer values describe various processes. If the integer labels represent concentration differences, this is equivalent to the conventional model of two diffusive chemicals. If the integer labels represent signal levels, this is equivalent to the pseudopodium–nerve model. Therefore, this basic model can be applied to various processes, such as concentration differences, signaling, chemical aging, and protein modification.
