Computer Virus: Theory, Model, and Methods

Description

Computer viruses are a broad spectrum of malwares, which form a great threatening to the safety of computer networks as well as computer systems. The macrolevel study of computer virus is a promising alternative to the conventional microlevel study. Recent advances in this area have led to a better understanding of the laws governing the diffusion of computer viruses over the Internet.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to reveal the mechanism of computer virus, to understand the laws governing its propagation over Internet, and to propose effective strategies of controlling its spread over Internet. We are particularly interested in articles proposing and studying novel dynamic models for the spread of computer virus. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Recent developments in the area of computer virus
  • Characterization of computer virus
  • Dynamic models of computer virus propagation
  • Statistical analysis of computer virus
  • Models of worm propagation
  • Models of Trojan horses
  • Novel biological epidemic models
