The MTHFR 677T Allele May Influence the Severity and Biochemical Risk Factors of Alzheimer’s Disease in an Egyptian Population

Electrophoretic gel pattern of the 677C>T polymorphism in the MTHFR gene. The C allele gives the uncut 198-bp PCR product. The T allele, having a HinfI restriction site, appears as a 175-bp product. The 23-bp fragment of the T allele is not shown on the gel. The C/T genotype is heterozygous.
