A Preliminary Study of microRNA-208b after Acute Myocardial Infarction: Impact on 6-Month Survival

The expression of miR-208b was 9.6-fold higher in the AMI group compared with the healthy control subjects. (b) The relative expression of miR-208b was increased in both survivor and nonsurvivor groups in comparison to healthy subjects (fold change = 6.51 and 14.1, resp.). Plasma samples were collected upon admission no more than 24 h after AMI onset (in all cases, value ≤ 0.05).
