Combination of Proteasome and Histone Deacetylase Inhibitors Overcomes the Impact of Gain-of-Function p53 Mutations

<div>Treatment with LBH589/panobinostat reduces p53 protein levels. Cells lacking p53 (LOF) or expressing the indicated forms of p53 (WT or R175H GOF mutant) were treated with 20 nM panobinostat and levels of the indicated proteins measured by western blotting. p21 served as a positive control for HDACi activity. <i>β</i>-Actin served as a loading control.</div>
