Cinnamaldehyde Downregulation of Sept9 Inhibits Glioma Progression through Suppressing Hif-1α via the Pi3k/Akt Signaling Pathway

Figure 5

The effects of cinnamaldehyde (CA) on the Pi3k/Akt signaling pathway in U87 and U251 cells. (a) U87 and U251 cells were treated with CA (CA 4 μg/ml and CA 4 μg/ml) and LY294002 (50 μM) for 24 hours. The expression levels of Hif-1α, Sept9, Akt, and p-Akt were detected using Western blot analysis, and β-actin was used as a loading control. (b, c) The statistical results of the expressions of Akt and p-Akt. (d) U87 and U251 cells were treated with CA (CA 8 μg/ml) and CA 8 μg/ml+CoCl2 (100 μM) for 24 hours. The expression levels of Hif-1α, Sept9, Akt, and p-Akt were detected using Western blot analysis, and β-actin as the control. (e–h) Statistical results of the expressions of Hif-1α, Sept9, Akt, and p-Akt. The results of a minimum of three independent trials are presented as . and compared to the control group.
