Death-Associated Protein Kinase 1 (DAPK1) Protects against Myocardial Injury Induced by Myocardial Infarction in Rats via Inhibition of Inflammation and Oxidative Stress

Inhibition of DAPK1 alleviates cardiac dysfunction and inflammation in AMI rats. TC-DAPK 6 was used to treat AMI rats and to detect changes in myocardial infarction size (a), myocardial injury markers (b, c), and cardiac function (d, e) in AMI rats. The expression of inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α) in rat serum was detected by ELISA (f–h). HE staining (i) was used to detect the structural changes of rat myocardial tissue (magnification: 200x) (“” means vs. sham group, and “#” means vs. AMI group).
