Inhibition of RNA synthesis in HepG2 cells after incubation with ASMq ethanol extract. RNA synthesis was evaluated by incorporation of 3[H]-uridine during a 2.5 hours pulse. Results were expressed as the mean ± SD from three independent experiments. P < .05, compared with control culture; P < .05 compared with 24 hours treatment of ASMq.
