TRAIL induced apoptosis in combination with EEP in prostate cancer cells: (a) LNCaP and (b) DU145. Detection of apoptotic cell death after 48-h cotreatment with TRAIL at the concentration of 100 ng mL−1 and EEP the concentration of 50 μg mL−1 by annexin V-FITC staining using flow cytometry. The values represent mean ± SD of three independent experiments performed in quadruplicate (n = 12). All differences are statistically significant in relation to control (P < .05).
