Cytotoxic activity of (a) EEP phenolic components and (b) TRAIL in combination with EEP phenolic components in prostate cancer cells. The LNCaP cells were incubated for 48 h with phenolic compounds at the concentration of 50 μM with or without TRAIL at the concentration of 100 ng mL−1. The percentage of cell deaths was measured by MTT cytotoxicity assay. The values represent mean ± SD of three independent experiments performed in quadruplicate (n = 12). All differences are statistically significant in relation to control (P < .05).
