Effects of the eIF2α inhibitor, salubrinal, on reversing apoptosis induced by DHTS in human prostate carcinoma cells. DU145 cells were pretreated with various concentrations of salubrinal for 1 h followed by an additional treatment with 1 or 1.5 μg/mL of DHTS for 24 h. Cell viability was determined by an MTT assay, and data are presented as the mean ± S.E. of three independent experiments. *, compared to individual DHTS-treated cells.
