Effects of NNMBS275 on glutamate-induced oxidative neurotoxicity, and inhibition of ROS generation in HT22 cells. (a) Cells were pretreated for 12 h with indicated concentrations of NNMBS275 and then incubated for 12 h with glutamate (5 mM). (b) Exposure of HT22 cells to 5 mM glutamate for 12 h increased ROS production. NNMBS275 effectively inhibited glutamate-mediated ROS production. Data represent mean values of 3 experiments ± S.D. * compared to the group treated with glutamate. Trolox (50 μM) was used as a positive control.
