Effect of geranylgeraniol on macrophages interaction with Leishmania amazonensis after 24 h of treatment. Peritoneal macrophage cells were infected with promastigotes and treated with 1, 5, 10, or 25 μg/mL. Control group (untreated parasites) is also shown. The survival index was calculated by multiplying the percentage of macrophage cells with parasites and the mean number of internalized parasites per cell.
