Inhibition of proliferation of endothelial cells after treatment with (a) nimbolide and (b) 2′,3′-dehydrosalannol. HUVECs were treated for 24 hours with nimbolide (2–12 μM) or 2′,3′-dehydrosalannol (4–20 μM) or vehicle as control. The antiproliferative effect of the two compounds was evaluated by using the MTS viability assay. Experiments were performed in triplicate and the data were expressed as the mean ± SD of the triplicate determinations of a representative experiment in % cell viability of vehicle-treated cells (100%) (* ).
