Effect of the AAM on hypertonic stress-induced TonEBP expression and translocation into the nucleus in mIMCD-3 cells. mIMCD-3 cells were pretreated with the AAM (1–10 μg/mL) for 30 min. Cytoplasm and the nuclear fractions were extracted, and the protein levels were determined by western blot analysis. The bands indicate TonEBP (165 kDa). The blots are representative of 3 independent experiments (a) and densitometric quantification (b) of TonEBP.
