Gallic Acid Attenuates Platelet Activation and Platelet-Leukocyte Aggregation: Involving Pathways of Akt and GSK3β

Figure 1

Inhibitory effects of gallic acid on ADP- or U46619-induced platelet aggregation. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) was incubated with 100–1000 μM gallic acid or buffer for 3 minutes, and aggregation was induced by addition of (a) ADP (2.5 μM) or (b) U46619 (1.5 μM) (b). Gallic acid inhibited platelet aggregation induced by ADP or U46619 in a dose-dependent manner. These experiments are representative results of at least three similar experiments.
