Phenethyl Isothiocyanate (PEITC) Inhibits the Growth of Human Oral Squamous Carcinoma HSC-3 Cells through G0/G1 Phase Arrest and Mitochondria-Mediated Apoptotic Cell Death

PEITC induced cell apoptosis in HSC-3 cells. Cells were treated with 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 2.5, and 5 μM of PEITC for 24 and 48 h. DAPI staining was determined by immunostaining and photographed by fluorescence microscopic systems (200x) as described in Materials and Methods (a: 24 h; b: 48 h). Scale bar = 20 μm.
