NBM-HD-1: A Novel Histone Deacetylase Inhibitor with Anticancer Activity

NBM-HD-1 inhibits cell growth through a PTEN/AKT-dependent pathway. MCF-7 cells () were seeded in 100 mm dishes, incubated for 14 h, and then treated with NBM-HD-1 at a fixed concentration of 17.0 μM for 1, 2, 3, and 4 h. Cell lysates were prepared and subjected to SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting using respective specific antibodies. (a) Ac-histones 4. (b) Ac-tubulin. (c) Phospho-PTEN and phospho-AKT. HDACi biomarkers were determined by a western blot assay.
