Effects of EMI on ankle swelling in MSU crystal-induced gouty arthritis rats. Rats were pretreated with either vehicle, EMI (50, 100, and 200 mg/kg, p.o.), or positive drug indomethacin (5 mg/kg). Ankle swellings were evaluated at different time points. Data were expressed as the mean ± S.E.M.
