Effects of SB203580 on neurite outgrowth from cultured PC12 cells induced by control (a), luteolin (b), acacetin (c), NGF (d), or EGF (e). PC12 cells were cultured in serum-containing medium for 2 days. The cells were preincubated with or without SB203580 (10 μM) for 3 h and then washed with PBS and treated with B, D, NGF, or EGF for 10 min. Cells were subsequently cultured for another 2 days in serum-free medium. Photographs were taken under phase-contrast observation at a magnification of 100x. Bar indicates 10 μm.
