Effects of 4-HM on PKC 𝜃 activation in PBMC activated with PHA. PBMC (1.5×10⁷ cells) were activated with or without PHA (5 μg/mL) and cocultured with indicated concentrations of 4-HM (2.5, 5, and 10 μM) for 1 hr. The membrane fraction was extracted and subjected to 10% SDS-PAGE and detected by immunoblotting with anti-PKC 𝜃, integrin 𝛽1, or 𝛽-tubulin Ab. The ratio of PKC 𝜃 to integrin 𝛽1 was shown in bar graph. Each bar represents mean±SD from three independent experiments. ^∗𝑃<0.05, ^∗∗𝑃<0.01: versus PHA control.
