Methanol Extract of Artemisia apiacea Hance Attenuates the Expression of Inflammatory Mediators via NF-κB Inactivation

Effect of MEAH on the secretion of proinflammatory mediators in LPS-stimulated Raw264.7 cells. The cells were pretreated with 10–100 μg/mL MEAH for 1 h and then continuously exposed to 1 μg/mL LPS for 18 h. The levels of TNF-𝛼 (a), IL-1𝛽 (b), IL-6 (c), and PGE₂ (d) were monitored in the medium by using ELISA. Data represent mean ± S.D. of three separated experiments (significant as compared with vehicle-treated control cells, **𝑃<0.01; significant as compared with LPS-treated cells, ^##𝑃<0.01, ^#𝑃<0.05; the level of proinflammatory mediators in control cells = 1).
