Novel Bioactivity of Ellagic Acid in Inhibiting Human Platelet Activation
Inhibitory effect of ellagic acid on relative mobilization and phospholipase C2 (PLC2) activation in collagen-activated platelets. Washed platelets were preincubated with 50 and 80 μM ellagic acid or 0.5% DMSO, followed by the addition of 1 μg/mL collagen to trigger (a) relative mobilization and (b) PLC2 phosphorylation.
