Boehmeria nivea Stimulates Glucose Uptake by Activating Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma in C2C12 Cells and Improves Glucose Intolerance in Mice Fed a High-Fat Diet

The effect of EBN on fasting glucose levels and glucose intolerance in mice fed a high-fat diet. Mice were starved for 12 h and blood was drawn from the orbital vein, and we measured the fasting glucose levels as described in Section 2 (a). Glucose tolerance test was performed at the end of 8 weeks. Mice were injected with glucose (1 g/kg of body weight), and blood glucose levels were examined every 30 min from 0 min to 150 min after injection (b).
