Effect of HCY2/UA preincubation on hypoxia/reoxygenation-induced apoptosis in H9c2 cells. Cells were preincubated with HCY2 (25 μg/mL) or UA (5 μM) for 4 h and then subjected to hypoxia/reoxygenation (Hypo/Reoxy) challenge, as described in Section 2. The extent of apoptotic cell death was assessed by the measurement of caspase-3 activation.
