Effect of Achyranthes bidentata Blume on 3T3-L1 Adipogenesis and Rats Fed with a High-Fat Diet

Effect of various herbal medicines on cellular lipid droplets in cultured 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Differentiating 3T3-L1 cells were treated every 2 days with 10 μg/mL of herbal medicines in adipocyte-induction media and stained with oil red O on day 8. The accumulation of lipid contents was detected at 490 nm after oil red O dye was dissolved in isopropanol. Results represent the mean ± SEM of four independent experiments ( versus control).
