Fenugreek Prevents the Development of STZ-Induced Diabetic Nephropathy in a Rat Model of Diabetes

Increased activity of SOD, CAT, and GSH-PX and decreased MDA level after fenugreek treatment. The alleviated oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation in diabetic kidney were relieved by the fenugreek treatment through promoting the activity of SOD (a), CAT (b), and GSH-PX (c). Meanwhile, the increased MDA level of diabetic kidney was successfully reduced by the fenugreek treatment (d). versus Con; versus DN.
