The effects of anethole on the early phase (a) (0–5 min) and late phase (b) (15–40 min) on 2% formalin-induced inflammation in mice. 20 μL of 2% formalin solution was injected into the dorsal surface of the hind paw of mice 60 min after administration of the anethole (62.5, 125, 250, and 500 mg/kg, p.o.) and indomethacin (10 mg/kg, p.o.). Data are represented as mean ± S.E.M. , compared with the control group (one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey test).
