Protection of Tong-Sai-Mai Decoction against Apoptosis Induced by H2O2 in PC12 Cells: Mechanisms via Bcl-2-Mitochondria-ROS-INOS Pathway

Figure 8

Revealing the cell M dissipation red/green ratio values induced by TSM. (a) Control group. The cells were treated with 200 μmol/L H2O2 (b) and 0.05, 0.5, and 5 mg/mL TSM in the presence of 200 μmol/L H2O2 ((c), (d), and (e)). Under normal mitochondria, the JC-1 accumulation in the mitochondrial matrix can form a red fluorescence polymer. Due to the decrease or loss of the mitochondrial membrane potential, JC-1 can exist in green fluorescence monomeric form. The mitochondria degree polarization can be measured by the ratio of red/green fluorescence intensity. The percentage of M dissipation in cells treated with 200 μmol/L H2O2 and various concentrations of TSM and cumulative data from three independent experiments were shown.
