Protection of Tong-Sai-Mai Decoction against Apoptosis Induced by H₂O₂ in PC12 Cells: Mechanisms via Bcl-2-Mitochondria-ROS-INOS Pathway

TSM blocked the H₂O₂-induced reduction of mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP). The MMP was assessed by the mean fluorescent intensity (MFI) of rhodamine 123 staining in ten thousand of PC12 cells. TSM with 0.05 mg/mL, 0.5 mg/mL, and 5 mg/mL, respectively, did not reduce the MMP, but partly blocked the MMP reduction of PC12 cells induced by 200 μmol/L H₂O₂. and as compared with the control group; and as compared with the H₂O₂ group.
