New Treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease, Kamikihito, Reverses Amyloid--Induced Progression of Tau Phosphorylation and Axonal Atrophy
Figure 2
Effect of KKT and KPL posttreatment on A-induced phosphorylation of tau. Cortical neurons were cultured for 3 days and then treated with A (25–35) (10 μM). At 24 h after A treatment, A was removed from the medium, and the cells were treated with vehicle solution, KKT (10 μg/mL), or KPL (1 μM). At 72 h after each treatment, the cells were fixed and immunostained with an antibody against paired helical filament tau (PHF-tau). The PHF-tau fluorescence intensity was quantified for each treatment. (, One-way ANOVA, post hoc Bonferroni’s multiple comparison test).
