A Study on the Effect of Neurogenesis and Regulation of GSK3β/PP2A Expression in Acupuncture Treatment of Neural Functional Damage Caused by Focal Ischemia in MCAO Rats
Figure 2
Acupuncture attenuated neural functional deficit. Neural deficit score (NDS) was employed for evaluating the neural functional deficit (). The lower the score is, the worse the damage is. There were significant differences among MCAO groups: no-acupuncture group got higher scores than model group (★) suggesting a “self-repairing” ability of MCAO rats. Acupuncture group got the highest scores in MCAO group while lower scores in model and no-acupuncture group (▲) which meant that acupuncture attenuated neural damage after MCAO but did not reach to a normal level.
