Purple Sweet Potato Leaf Extract Induces Apoptosis and Reduces Inflammatory Adipokine Expression in 3T3-L1 Differentiated Adipocytes

Effects of PSPL on the expression of inflammation-associated genes in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. The differentiated 3T3-L1 cells were exposed to PSPLE at concentrations of 0, 1, 2, and 4 mg/mL for 72 h. The expression levels of IL-1, TNF-α, and β-actin were measured by RT-PCR (a). Quantitative densitometric analysis was used to calculate the values of IL-1 (b) and TNF-α (c) that were normalized against β-actin.
