Icariin Prevents Amyloid Beta-Induced Apoptosis via the PI3K/Akt Pathway in PC-12 Cells

Icariin decreased Bax expression in PC12 cells after exposure to Aβ25–35. After pretreatment with 50 μM LY294002 for 1 h, PC12 cells were treated with 20 μM icariin for 1 h, followed by Aβ25–35 treatment for 24 h. Densitometry values are presented as the mean ± S.D. of triplicate independent experiments. versus untreated control; versus Aβ25–35 treatment; versus icariin treatment.
