The UPS, consisting of the 26S proteasome, ubiquitin ligases, and ubiquitin hydrolases, is the main target of TCM treatments. Active TCM ingredients also target molecular chaperones and cochaperones such as HSPs and FKBPs. Additionally, TCM treatments modulate PP2A actions that regulate the dephosphorylation of Tau proteins.
