Effects of sitosterol and vitexin isolated from the H and EA fractions of Pereskia bleo Kunth leaves, respectively, on the capsaicin-induced biting model. Control groups were composed of vehicle. Results were presented as mean ± S.D. (–10) of the time (in seconds) that the animal spent biting or licking the capsaicin-injected paw. Statistical significance was calculated by ANOVA with Bonferroni’s test where when comparing vitexin- or sitosterol-treated mice with vehicle-treated group.
