Protective Effects of L-Malate against Myocardial Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury in Rats

<div>L-malate (LM) decreases infarct volume after MIRI. Representative N-BT staining of infarct size. Noninfarcted myocardial stained dark blue, and the ischemic area was white or grayish-yellow. Myocardial infarct volume was assayed 3 h after reperfusion.
