Inhibitory effects of plant extracts (5%) on lipid droplet formation in Hepa 1–6 cells treated with oleic acid. Dried plants were ground with a mill and 0.05 g of the resulting powder was extracted with 500 μL of water at 60°C for 1 h. (a) No plant extract, (b) water extract of Ginkgo leaves (Ginkgo biloba L.), (c) water extract of Hibiscus flower (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.), and (d) water extract of Platycodon root (Platycodon grandiflorum A.).
