α-Mangostin Induces Apoptosis and Cell Cycle Arrest in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cell

α-Mangostin arrests the cell cycle G1 phase in a time-dependent manner. Cells were treated with 8 μM α-mangostin for 6, 12, and 24 h before being subjected to (a) cell cycle distribution analysis by flow cytometry and (b) western blotting to assess the expression levels of cell cycle-associated proteins (CDK4, CDK2, cyclin D3, cyclin E, , and ) normalized to GAPDH expression.
