Effects of Huang Bai (Phellodendri Cortex) and Three Other Herbs on GnRH and GH Levels in GT1–7 and GH3 Cells

GT1–7 cells were treated with either distilled water (control), 10 nM of estradiol, 100 μg/mL of Huang Bai, 300 μg/mL of Zhi Mu, 300 μg/mL of Mai Ya, or 30 μg/mL of Xia Ku Cao for 24 hours. Total RNAs were extracted and quantitative RT-PCR was performed with GnRH mRNA amplifying primers. The results ran in triplicate and expressed as mean ± standard deviation.
