Effects of Huang Bai (Phellodendri Cortex) and Three Other Herbs on GnRH and GH Levels in GT1–7 and GH3 Cells

GH3 cells were treated with either distilled water (control), 300 μg/mL of Huang Bai, 300 μg/mL of Zhi Mu, 300 μg/mL of Mai Ya, or 300 μg/mL of Xia Ku Cao for 24 hours. Total RNAs were extracted and quantitative RT-PCR was performed with GH mRNA amplifying primers. The results ran in triplicate and expressed as mean ± standard deviation. Statistical analysis: as compared to control.
