Inhibition of MEK signaling suppresses the combination-induced neurofilament expression of cultured PC12 cells. (a) Cultured PC12 cells were pretreated with or without MEK inhibitor PD98059 (20 μm) for 5 h and then cotreated with the combination of asiatic acid (14.4 μM) and madecassic acid (40.8 μM) and NGF (50 ng/mL) for 72 h. The cell lysates were collected to determine the expression of NF68 and NF200. GAPDH served as loading control. (b) Quantification plot is shown in histograms.
