Inhibitory effect of plant extracts (50 μg/mL, 12.5 μg/mL) on NO production in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 macrophages. RAW 264.7 cells were treated with solvent vehicle (DMSO, 0.1%), positive control (parthenolide, 10 μM), or plant extract samples (50 μg/mL, 12.5 μg/mL) 1 h prior to the addition of LPS (100 ng/mL), and cells were further incubated for 24 h. The numbers were used to abbreviate plant names (see Table 1 for full names). NO levels were determined with Griess reagent. Data points represent mean ± SEM; , (ANOVA) compared with negative control.
