Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Properties of Anacardium occidentale Leaf Extract

Parameters of cell viability and oxidative stress in RAW 264.7 cells treated with Anacardium occidentale leaf extract for 24 hours. RAW 264.7 cells were treated with leaf extract at different concentrations, 0.5, 5, and 500 µg/mL. Different assays were performed to evaluate cell viability after incubation; lipopolysaccharides LPS (1 µg/mL) was used as a positive control for loss of viability. (a) MTT assay and (b) SRB–incorporation assay. Control group is represented in all graphs by “Control.” Data represent mean ± SEM from three independent experiments ( per group). One-way ANOVA followed by the post hoc Tukey’s test, < 0.05 versus the control group.
