(A) Normal control rats
Normal rats orally given 1 ml of normal saline daily.
(B) Diabetic rats
Hyperglycemic rats fed with standard pellet diet and orally given 1 ml of normal saline.
(C) Diabetic rats + 1000 mg/kg garlic
1000 mg/kg of ethanol extract of garlic administered to hyperglycemic rats daily for three weeks.
