Deposition of collagen I was assessed by immunohistochemistry (). (a) shows that there was little deposition of collagen I in the sham group. (b) shows that there was extensive deposition of collagen I in the model group. (c) and (d) show that the amount of collagen I in the QSKL group and fosinopril group was much less as compared with the model group. Compared with the sham group, the IOD value of collagen I in the model group was upregulated. QSKL could decrease the IOD value of collagen I compared with the model group. The level showed no statistical difference between the fosinopril group and the QSKL group (, , other groups versus model group).
