Antineuroinflammatory Effects of Modified Wu-Zi-Yan-Zong Prescription in β-Amyloid-Stimulated BV2 Microglia via the NF-κB and ERK/p38 MAPK Signaling Pathways

Figure 6

Potential antineuroinflammatory mechanisms of MWP activity on activated BV2 microglia. Aβ activates BV2 microglia via the IKKβ/IκB/NF-κB and ERK/p38 MAPK signaling pathways, resulting in the activation of multiple proinflammatory mediators and the translocation of NF-κB (p65) into the nucleus. MWP can inhibit the activation of these signaling pathways, thereby effecting antineuroinflammatory activity in BV2 microglia.
