Protective Effect of Pitao (<i>Pitavia punctata</i> (R. & P.) Molina) Polyphenols against the Red Blood Cells Lipoperoxidation and the<i> In Vitro</i> LDL Oxidation

<div>Effect of the MeOH extract of<i> P. punctata</i> on LDL oxidation. (<b>a</b>) Absorbance at 234 nm was measured every 2 min for 360 min at 37°C in a spectrophotometer to obtain a typical conjugated diene-formation (CD) curve. From the CD-formation curve, the lag time defined as end of the cross point of the time axis and the curve slope was estimated.
